One Second After William Forstchen

Show time, welcome to the show. I'm Brent Holland and welcome one and all. It's a chilly one out there. Tonight is a perfect night to jump in your most comfy chair, kick your feet up get the coffee going get the tea going or a beverage of choice. Now think for a second what would happen if you suddenly lost power. No biggie right it will be back on in a little bit. But what if it stayed off for say a day, two days, a week , a month could you make it through a winter without power? At the turn of the last century we were not so dependent on electricity in our lives. Today we are locked to it. We go to the bathroom first thing we do is flip the light switch, we no longer worry about cooking, fresh water, refrigeration.

Could it happen? Could it be weaponized and used against us? The answer is an ominous YES. Our guest tonight is Dr. William R. Forstchen and he is an expert on what is known as electromagnetic pulse or EMP. William has worked with the former head of the DCIA James Woolsey, CIA Analyst Peter Pry, as well he has addressed members of Congress on the devastation such an attack would inflict on the nation. Tonight we are going to discuss the latest threat from North Korea. William has a PHD in Military History & History of Technology. William has penned over 40 books including the New York Times bestseller Gettysburg and Pearl Harbor co-authored with Newt Gingrich. Months before publication, William's book "One Second After" was already cited on the floor of Congress as a book all Americans should read. It has been discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a realistic look at EMPs and their awesome ability to send catastrophic shockwaves throughout the United States, literally within seconds.

It is my great pleasure to welcome Dr. William Forstchen to the show. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich."There has been much attention given, since 9/11, to a wide variety of threats to our nation...additional attacks by the hijacking of commercial airliners, biological and chemical attacks, even the potential of a so called "dirty bomb", or even an actual nuclear detonation in the center of one of our major cities. But few have talked about, let alone heard about, the terrible, in fact overwhelming, threat of EMP, which is short hand for "electromagnetic pulse weapon".
